right brained
It's been said that Libby has a "profound ability to see the obvious." As Mindpower's co-founding senior right brain, she puts her mindpower to work for all types of organizations – from small liberal arts colleges to Fortune 500 companies. (So far, she's worked with more than 70 colleges across the nation.) To produce brilliant work, she works all hours, fortified only by Diet Coke. Weird formula, but it works: She's won a slew of national and regional awards. Kelly makes copy. Kelly makes marketing. Kelly makes sense. Growing up in the heart of Paris gave her great style. That it was Paris, Tennessee explains her wicked sense of humor. She uses both to craft brilliant marketing programs for our clients. Years in TV marketing for CBS, NBC, and FOX honed her media mindset. Writing for magazines, television, and radio sharpened her quill. What fuels Kelly's creativity? Relentless pursuit of the best meals in (any) town, from grilled cheese to foie gras. Don't be fooled by Cheryl's sunny personality – she may be a beach-loving Florida girl (and FSU grad), but she's also a serious design talent. Prior to Mindpower, she lent her skills to clients like Coca-Cola, Home Depot, Cingular, and Mrs. Smith's. She’s also racked up a slew of awards and been showcased in publications like Print and Communication Arts. You never know where life will take you. Take Betty. She started out with a BFA in painting, and wound up writing ad copy on Madison Avenue. On the day Betty realized that living in New York City had turned her into a person who wanted a Chihuahua, she moved back home to Atlanta, where she now lives with said Chihuahua and a somewhat more respectable border collie mix. All in all, Rick has spent eighteen years honing his craft in the field of higher ed marketing. After earning his BFA at Kutztown, he headed off to work at ad agencies and design firms in the big apple. Apparently, though, Rick is more of a peach kind of guy, so he moved to Georgia to make his mark in the Atlanta ad world. When he's not Mindpowering, Rick enjoys teaching graphic design and spending time with his dogs, Hope and Maggie. Todd is the coolest geek you'll ever meet. He earned his English and visual arts degree from Emory, and at Mindpower serves as our conduit into the mind of the Millennials. (He is one – but you'd never know it from looking at him.) He also programs our websites, writes copy, and provides the fabled "missing link" between the right- and left-brain. When he's not staring at lines of code or getting his chops busted, Todd prowls the city in search of good music and weird places. Don was originally attracted to Mindpower because of the commute. It's a ten-minute walk. True to his title, he has a knack for thinking the big thoughts and then making them a reality. He's spent years honing his talents at several of Atlanta's leading agencies in the roles of associate creative director, art director and graphic designer. In his spare time he gives back to the community by cultivating future talent at Portfolio Center and Creative Circus. Michael originally started at Mindpower on a trial basis. By his second day, though, we knew we had to keep him. Michael has a degree in digital media from the University of Georgia which means he's pretty darn smart, as well as technically savvy. Perhaps that's why he's called Quick Draw. Clients who've had the pleasure of working with Michael know he's also extremely nice. Michael spends his time away from Mindpower watching movies, making art, and thinking about riding his bike. Amy gets an A+ for putting her imagination into action. Our Art Institute of Atlanta alum adds production artist and art director experience to her graphic design repertoire, at the likes of Shadow Grafix and Peachtree Presbyterian Church. When she's not mindpowering, she's likely to be on the road – Amy has an affinity for travel (the Swiss Alps are a favorite, and Australia is on her list) and urban exploration. You can bet she'll be taking amazing photographs wherever she ventures (her camera is practically a permanent appendage). Kelly came to Mindpower from St. Anne's Day School in Annapolis Maryland where she served as the Associate Director of Communications. If you're an independent movie fan, Kelly's the mindpowerian to know. She's been a volunteer with the Sundance Film Festival six out of the past seven years. "It's just like summer camp," Kelly says, "only in the winter – and for adults." When Ms. Write isn't writing great stuff for Mindpower's clients, she's coordinating travel plans and keeping Netflix in business. Hal can take any brand and make it feel better. Much better. (And after 17 years in the design business, he has the same effect on his clients.) Hal earned his degree from University of Buffalo and has plenty of experience as a senior creative, bringing his corporate communication know-how to clients like BMW, BellSouth, Ernst & Young and Nationwide. When not engaged in brand therapy, he likes to tee up with Donna or grab a game of catch with his kids. Butch was a bit disappointed that his promotion from Canine Welcoming Committee to Chief Barketing Officer didn't include extra cookies or trash can access. But being a terrier, and therefore a natural problem-solver, Butch has already developed half a dozen new creative strategies for optimizing ROI. So, ladies, when you visit, please don't put your purse on the floor (don't say we didn't warn you!).
